The debate is between professor Per Servais of School of Business at Linneaus University and professor Romeo V. Turcan of Aalborg University Business School. Per advocated for the motion and Romeo - against the motion. Professor Marcelo Ketzer of Department of Biology and Environmental Science at Linnaeus University, intridced the motion by inroducing and discussing sustainability management.

Where does a theory come from? Logic, literature, or data?

This public debate is between three distinguished scholars who will advocate for one of the sources of theory. Prof. Michael Saren of the Leicester University will advocate for logic or rational argument as a means to generate theory. Professor Emeritus Nikhilesh Dholakia of the University of Rhode Island will endorse literature as a source of theory development. Dr. Andy Lowe of the Grounded Research Institute in California will champion evidence or data as a means for theorizing and theory development. The debate will be moderated by Romeo V. Turcan of Aalborg University.
